Missing out on Justin Williams makes me sad. Now, in the event we play Washington in a game 7 we're screwed.

Hey Bill. Any news on Straka? I thought he performed well when brought up last season. I know that he needed to work on his D side of the game, but he did possess a good shot, and some speed to boot.
Salute to Razor. He was a trooper, and a team player. Wish you well.
Now, to sign MDZ, to dump some large contract guys, and I think that we will have a much better team this season; crossing my fingers.
Oh, and a shout out to Zepp. Maybe we can keep him in the minors as our third goalie.

Except that it's illegal and the league doesn't see a dime from it.

Isn't it legal where their servers are based?

I made the switch from Gamecenter to hockey streams several years ago. The last time I had gamecenter, they never had the Flyers feed available. People here like to complain about our announcers but try listening to Boston's and Buffalo's. I have no clue how they still have jobs. I'm guessing they finally caught up though. I also have the luxury of living in a location where flyers, devils, islanders, and ranger games were blacked out unless I bought gamecenter through a cable provider.

With that being said, this was about 10 years ago so I didn't know how a VPN worked. So I was pretty much forced to go to hockey streams when I cut the cord.

As far as the league not seeing a dime. It just forces me to go to at least a game or two a year. Win Win

they just unbundled and added discounts, B.O. policy is unaffected:

It's nice to have a VPN anyway... being able to access other regions' Netflix libraries turns your NF sub into something that's super worthwhile. Probably the same with other global services. And not to mention those idiotic region-locked TSN clips.

A VPN is also required when purchasing Ultraviolet codes from Canada.

And wait a second. Netflix has different movies for different regions?

Signed up yesterday for Hockeybuzz. Minutes later my email, which is a government contractor's email server, started receiving emails warning of my accounts compromise and to "click here" to change my password.

Just a heads up to everyone. Don't click it.

Jack Edwards in Boston is widely considered the biggest homer announcer in sports. He literally laughed like a diabolical supervillian when Randy Jones got boarded.

Paul Jeanerette in Buffalo makes me cringe. Big homer, and his voice is beyond irritating, but he's a legend and the Gene Hart or Buffalo.

Don't see a dime? You have to pay for gamecenter.

Since I didn't get to post yesterday, here are my two cents:

The Pens stole Kessel
Glad we got Neuvirth (he was my first choice for a backup)
Washington made a good move signing Williams
I still don't know what Boston is doing
I like the Mike Green signing for Detroit

Nope. Its based on what country you are in. British Netflix is pretty good and I think the Swiss one randomly has a lot of good movies if I am remembering correctly.

With all this talk of alternate means of watching the games -streaming or game center and a desire to reduce my cable snake bill, guess I will have to learn something new. At some point I guess it means an upgrade of my home TV's in house networking & audio. Considering my day job is another type of engineering (not IT related) I should be able to learn about or maybe I will have to hire someone to give me a hand selecting components and providers/services. Its the old joke about 300 channels of nothing and you really only use about 20-25

I guess that really leads to initial costs to setup 3 TV's for the nearly cable free world and time to payback to realize savings....

Plus its gotta be foolproof for a non tech wife...

Having to learn this and about social security, medicare and retirement planning at once is a challenge

Why am I labelled a troll? I didn't try to argue with anyone, nor have I tried to enflame the boards.

You guys aren't really accepting of new people are you?
