Can't wait to watch the pens next year. Weak leadership and throw in Kessel
- PhillaBully

[url]I feel like the paid an incredibly cheap price for Kessel but at the same time he's not nearly going to address the ge issues with that team.

You have to wonder what sort of D man the trade package could've yeilded for them.

This is completely off topic.. but does anyone use NHL Gamecenter? I'm looking into other options to drop cable, but the one thing holding me up is the Flyers and Phillies. I'm spoiled, having pretty much every game through CSN, so it's been tough. But we just don't watch much TV at all anymore, and what we do watch is available through Chromecast/AmazonStick. The only thing for me is the sports...

GameCenter isn't perfect, but that doesn't mean it isn't amazing

I've used it for years and years now, and for my money, there is no greater value for your entertainment dollar

You get 95 percent of all NHL games, with just as high a percentage of selecting home and away broadcasters, with the notable exceptions of NHL Network broadcasts and NBC's Game of the Week

Can also use on multiple devices; I find it particularly awesome on iPad

Gamecenter + MLB Package + VPN sub to get around blackouts.

I cut the cord a year and a half ago... don't miss TV one bit... have saved literally thousands of $.

In other Lehigh Valley Phantoms-related news, Jason Akeson signed as unrestricted free agent with the Buffalo Sabres

He's rehashing an argument about Frank being an accurate reporter

Remember a few days ago when people argued for 20 pages about the merits of Frank Seravalli?

Speaking of the Phantoms, their defense should be much more solid this year (barring another slew of injuries). Ghost, Morin (most likely), Alt, Hagg, Pettersson, Drewiske and Marti should provide them with some really solid depth. Manning might even end up back there.

I can't really see any of the others cracking that top 7-8. Even if some need to be called up to the Flyers to fill spots due to injury, they should still be in good shape.

Update on #Flyers/#Blues trade discussion. There is NO timeline on this POTENTIAL deal. Monitoring it intensely. Nothing more as of now

Please, I'm begging you and everyone else, stop posting this guy's blabbering.

Thank you in advance.

Be nice -- plenty of media, including Bill, surmised the same thing
- AllInForFlyers

Hextall totally contradicted what Servavalli said on twitter. Why is it not nice to point that fact out? You should complain to Hextall, instead.

Do they still have blackouts? That's the one thing I was worried about (was thinking of the VPN route if I needed to though), but I thought a recent lawsuit said they couldn't blackout local markets anymore? I just remember catching wind of it, I have to check up on that.

That's definitely what I want to go for though! I think it would probably save around $30/month for us right now. Definitely could be using that for other things, rather than paying for commercials with 10 minutes of show.

Only other thing would be The Walking Dead. Need to figure out a way to stream that, or else I'll have to wait until they come on Prime or something..

He's going to play with Eichel and score 30 goals. He's also going to pull down his pants and take a dump at center ice the first time he plays in Philly.

Of course, he'll then wake up from his dream and still be in Rochester.

I hope Akeson scores a couple of goals by banking them in off Berube's forehead.

Yup, Hexy has made some nice moves to make the Phantoms more competitive, Drewiskie, Brent, etc... I'd much rather have our young players developing in a winning environment.

#Flyers and another team talking about a big deal. Could involve another #NHL team, possibly with players or #draft picks being exchanged. Stay tuned.

Yup... something like that. Akeson has NHL hands and creativity but is panned by scouts (not just Philly's) for having AHL feet and lacking strength on top of being undersized. That makes it very, very tough to stick as an NHL regular.

This is pretty much what I expect it will be except I think Laughton has a very good shot to be on the opening day roster, one more Dman will get moved opening a spot for Manning as the 7th guy and I still think VLC won't be here by October.

But yeah, when it comes to FA, I think they are done.
