Based on who's opinion?
I mean Murrey gave him 2.8 and he's proven to be a good gm. I think you're talking out of your ass on this one - Bieksa#3
Based on the facts:
http://my.hockeybuzz.com/...t_id=16894&user_id=103557
Murray is a good GM but every GM makes bad deals.
He's literally the worst at everything... |

Shanahan: "This was really about us saying that we’ve got to build this thing the right away, through the draft with prospects."
Guy trades one of the best goal scorers in the league and says it's about building towards the future but some Canucks fans are freaking out because we traded Zack frickin Kassin - LeftCoaster

So many people talking about assets a the TDL. I think Prust is a perfect TDL chip. Contenders are always looking for character guys for a cup run. |

Except Gillis would trade all the picks first. |

Agreed, I could see him fetching a 3rd at the TDL but hopefully the Canucks will be selling. Kassian + 5th for a 3rd still looks pretty bad though |

Beleskey to the Bruins. Looks like they basically traded Lucic for Beleskey and two firsts....not bad. |

They were also teammate in NYR unless Prust left before Dorsett got there. I'm sure they'll look good on a line together.
Sucks to give up on Kassian, but he's had his chances. If management says he's not going to get there, I'll believe them.
I'm happy to see the Bieksa situation resolved, but I'd rather have had SJ's 2nd. Anaheim is most likely to be picking pretty late.

Rebuilds are fine , just stop trading draft picks .
I understand the Kassian trade straight up. I don't understand give up the draft pick as well. - VANTEL
Because we recoup a pick when we trade Prust at TDL, hopefully much higher than the 5th |

Yeah it's strange that we believed Gillis but don't believe Benning. |

Benning so far hasn't traded any assets at TDL and he said last year , he wanted to give a chance to the players who got him to the playoff run .
So there is no certainty that Benning will move anyone if Canucks are close to making the playoffs. |

That was only his first year. Plus he's already traded Garrison/Kesler/Lack/Bieksa for picks/prospects. But I do agree that doing it at the TDL is better when picks aren't valued as highly and some teams are desperate for upgrades. I dint expect the Canucks to be sitting in the same position they were last year during the 2016 TDL so selling seems more likely. |

Although it's fun to rip and speculate, why don't the pros wait until the season to write off the team. https://twitter.com/jtbou...status/616362302888091648
No one expected 101 points last year. If they fail to make the playoffs this year, I can see them moving a lot of pieces and getting lots of picks. |

Well apparently they tried to trade Kassian for 1/2 a season and didn't find a taker. |

Benning is making some very questionable moves. Like I said straight up Kassian for Prust should have been the deal. Canadiens would have got a top 6 player with size and cap relief. There was no read on to add the draft pick.
You of all should know about his questionable moves. |
