And they just moved down 10 at this years draft... They are stockpiling quantities of middling maybes and small forwards with potential. They fired a coach mid season while sitting in the playoffs to pick one top prospect that will have a career. Those teams are putting quality over quantity...

For sure ….he had to submit a new list July 1 (iirc). I'm sure the list was the same. It was full of teams with no cap space (Chi, Mon, Pit, Phi, Bos, NYR, etc….). It was a staredown between Pit and Tor and Pit had the better hand.

Leafs could have said no and kept him ….but we'd be female doging about that too. And the list would look the same next year and we'd be doing the same dance …just 1 year later.

Thanks Steve I put all of my faith in a tabloid hockey reporter that has zero connections in the league.

I wouldn't be too concerned about that. What today's move should tell you is that the leafs will move people out of town whether or not there is a serious offer on the table.
