JVR was probably the laziest looking player on the team last year. I was disappointed in him big time. Zero effort defensively. Babs will change that I hope.

This is one of the reasons I think Kessel had to go. JVR is like playdoh, and molded by his linemates. I bet if he was Toews' winger, he'd work his sack off game in and game out and be a hell of a player.

Nobody knows Kapanen will be a productive top 6 forward, but to come out swinging and claim he won't be a 20 goal scorer or whatever is just (frank)ing pathetic. Shoot yourself in the foot.

Leafs only retained a little over a million, means nothing in 5 years so stfu about it.

Only problem I have is I wish we could've gotten Pouliot instead of Harrington.

Some of u guys are ridiculous. We are in full rebuild mods, kessel had to go. How can u not be happy with not taking back a crappy player with a crappy contract and getting 2 prospects, 2 picks and a useful player? I seriously don't get some of you guys. Kessel was garbage and we all knew it. Burke's disastrous moves are finally washed out of the system with kessel and biggs being moved. How bout u give the current management team a bit of a benefit of a doubt and move forward like they just did.

The only thing I do not get is that Pitts is now too top heavy. Who knows, maybe you can't have enough scoring but at some point you need your 4th line of .85 million a season actually be able to do something...
