Yes...

That's the thing. They did a great traditional rebuild last week and most did not notice.

You don't need top 5 picks every year. You need to stop giving away 2nd and 3rd rounders like they were candy.

I loved their draft weekend. It was terrific.

I couldn't agree more. The Leafs run of throwing away draft picks was brutal. The amount of high picks and total picks they've kept and drafted lately is significant.

Ideally, they have better guys making and developing those picks now too.

I'd love the Leafs to sign Franson, simply because it means almost certainly that Phaneuf would be gone.
