Gotta feeling Gagner was a fall back option if Hexy couldn't get a forward in free agency. He probably has an idea of the cost of someone like Frolik and decided to stay away. I wouldn't be surprised if Voracek gets extended before training camp. |

I'm still kind of holding out hope for Chris Stewart. I'm sure many of you aren't high on him and there might not even be a real fit but I like the guy. Toughness, gritty, might help the second unit on the PP. - SuperSchennBros
I would also find Chris Stewart interesting but I would not give him more than 2 years. EK has the Flyers as a team interested in Justin Williams, at a bargain deal for 2 years he could bring experience and a winning attitude |

It's hard to believe Gagner is a fall back option if Gagner is not only a better option than most of the players in Free Agency but if we haven't reached it yet. |

I'd also be fine with Williams but I'd prefer a younger Stewart that brings more grit to a team that could probably use it. We'll see though. |

I think Vinny is going to find a new home (likely Arizona or Nashville) after his roster 2 Million bonus is paid out. Then the Flyers sign one of Frolik or Williams as they are guys who can play in the top 9. I also expect Ryan White to be signed. Not sure who the back goalie target is... |

No worries
As to your point, I do think there is something to being in an organization/on a team that is expecting to win, as opposed to hoping you won't lose
I have no statistics, but I think once you become a perennial loser, it is really difficult to break out of that cycle
You can't win every year, but I do think you can lose many, many years if you are not careful in demanding the proper effort and excellence - AllInForFlyers

Why would cbj need saad? they have forwards up the ass.

I'm not sure what the infatuation is with Stewart. He hasn't been a good player for 4 seasons ongoing. The Flyers need to add skill and speed. They don't need another plugger. They need to become a better 5 on 5 team. The PP is not the issue. He's not the right fit for this team.
