Not sure about this one.....

I guess Kassian just took too long to develop and his bad nights were really bad.

And frequent. We went into last season saying just give Kassian one more year and now we're saying it again. There's still a chance that he figures it out and that'll hurt, but the player we traded today is only a few steps up from useless. I'm not thrilled with the return though, which I have been saying a lot lately.

A few of you guys are pathetic. You've been calling for a rebuild for 2 yrs. We have to have a few vets around so we don't end up like Edmonton .
And why sign UFA deals over a yr or 2? So we can kill our xap space for when our kids start developing.

Well one thing is for sure we will get more games out of Prust this year than we got out of Kassian last year

Benning purging out the Gillis leftovers from the organization. Which is good with me. Time for Benning to put his stamp on things.

The one I can't get past is the Sbisa thing...but whatever, I'll get over that one

thanks, Will D def wants an aggressive forecheck team. Kassian wish him the best but I really don't think he will ever "figure" it out.

It's amazing what playing for an original six team will do for correcting a players behavior.

It's not like we gave anything up for kassian. The other guy is even worse, and its not close. Good riddance.

Who got undervalued? You don't think management canvas's the league to see what guys are worth. You honest think they're that stupid?

Yep.

disappointed we didn't even get a late pick back in that deal.

I'd rather have rolled with what we had on first glimpse, but looking forward to seeing if Prust is as billed as heart and soul and hard working.

If Pitts misses the playoffs in 2016 & 2017 the leafs get no pick at all. at both teams. Who's going to dig the puck out of the corner for Crosby and Kessel?

I love this theory. Like the people complaining about the lack return. Benning publicly made him available.
If he should have gotten a 1st or a 2bd then why didn't he? Did he leave a 2nd on the table for a 3rd?

Joe Haggerty on TSN 1040 saying he doesn't think Bruins were interested in acquiring Kassian. Mentioned off-ice conduct.

Wow, Kassiam must have some serious off-ice issues for his value to be this low. Prust is an expensive 4th liner, between him and Dorsett our 4th line wingers make 5M combined....

Woah, Prust scored 4 goals in 82 games.... he should fit right in, better yet, make Higgins' 6 goals look amazing.
- Beatle_john

He's basically a cap dump, still a solid 4th line but way overpaid.
