Yeah, the Lehner/Jones deals blow my mind. SJ especially might even finish in the bottom 10 again and there's a lottery now for the first 3 picks of the draft.

The Talbot and Lack deals were decent.

If the rumours are true about SJ offering their first year for Klein and Talbot then Wilson isn't going to last much longer in SJ. He's way too desperate. I assume Sharks ownership is also pushing for him to get them back into the playoffs since they spend a decent amount of money on the team and likely don't make much if they have zero playoff revenue.

Wilson is only hurting his chances of being hired by another team in the future by some of these moves.

The proposed lack, Bieksa, 23rd pick for SJ 9th was actually a better offer than the deals San Jose ended up taking..... hard to believe!

Lehner is 23 and already developed farther than all of the goalies available. Upside is high. Lehner was better than Lack imo.

Look at his numbers not even NHL caliber last season. At least lack has proven he can be a starter, not a great one but if you look at the overall body of work lacks last 2 seasons have been much better than lehner.

It's not even going that slow. Garrison and Kesler were dealt and now it looks like Bieksa is gone. This is about as fast as it gets in the salary cap era. Anyone expecting 3 or 4 big trades in one summer is playing too much NHL 15 or just doesn't completely understand the NHL.

Especially when you take a 2nd rounder with the first. Had they taken barzal or connor it wouldnt have been so bad to me. I just dont understand what the bruins are doing. Like trade every other player over the age of 25 if you wana rebuild/retool not your 22 year old top pairing guy.

Exactly. Even if he wanted out, get a better return than that..that was similar to what Griffin (frank)ing Reinhart ended up being traded for.

Please explain to me how Lack's value and what other GM's are willing to pay for him is JB's fault?

People have to realize that the likelihood that Benning is turning down 1st round picks for Lack because his heart is set on a 3rd and 7th is ridiculous.

It looks like Zhukenov got picked up in the import draft but not Jasek.

The GM's around the league don't view Eddie Lack like the homers in Vancouver do - this is clear and painfully obvious.

He has a lot of holes when he's moving and he moves a bunch. His game is just about the polar opposite of Schneider's.

This is all true but there are some GMs that have a reputation of being able to convince other GM'S they are getting a better deal than they actually are. The art of negotiation. Some have it, some don't.

You just hope the GM of your team has that ability.

I like both of those picks, nice to Benning go away from the Petit's and Stewart's this year. Very encouraging sign IMO.
