Hopefully he can figure it out soon, he hasn't done it yet after 350+ NHL games. He'd be one of the rare 1% of players who suddenly becomes decent after 350+ games of being crappy.

Perhaps he had an illegal jack knife on his possession?

I've listed the facts before, nothing suggests he's even average at offense or defense. I've asked anyone to provide evidence that he's even mediocre at either and have yet to see a good argument with facts that support that. He's just fast and physical, that's about it.

He's part of the problem with this d-core, not the solution. The only thing he has going for him is that he's young and that he hits, something this fanbase is so desperate for that they're willing to overlook that he's not a good player and a liability to the team.

The only thing that'll get better with age is his positional play, he'll learn to be in a better position defensively...but that's about it. When you have a low hockey IQ at his age, you'll always have a low hockey IQ.

He's perfect for us getting some good draft picks over the next three years though

Hes a $hit disturber for sure. Joe Thornton had to tell him to shut his stupid mouth if I remember correctly.

I'm just curious, but has there ever been a player who has publicly told his GM to shut up? I know there was a lot of he said/she said with the whole Lindros/Philly debacle but definitely not to this level of acrimony. Hence, just wondering if there were any other situations where a player called out his coach and/or GM?

Aside from perhaps a KB trade, budget FA signing, I think we're done until Oct.

Didn't Thornton tell Wilson to shut his mouth last season? Pretty sure...

Pretty much. We can't sign any UFAs and no one will take our garbage so it's TDL time baby.

Not to my memory, it's just not done, GMs and coaches might call out a player or two but you'll never hear a player call out their GM/coach.

Based on the information leaked out, and also using common sense (i.e. it was always going to be a 2nd rounder for Bieksa straight up and there were no other negotiating 'intricacies' involved), you've got to believe it was Wilson that nixed the deal at the last moment. If that was the case, I too would be pissed off, especially given that the Canucks focus was on moving up via the trade and they had worked on this deal for some time (according to sources and even some of the comments made by Benning).

As someone pointed out, maybe it was Wilson trying to take advantage of a rookie GM and hence not worried about the fall out. Sh*tty move if that's the case

- Zogg

I'm willing to bet that JB had SJs 2nd on the table for THIS draft and Wilson changed it to 2016 draft at the last moment once he figured who Benning was after...

Do not be shocked if Bieksa, Vrbata, Miller are all still here by TDL...

Yes, that was the example I was using and, thus, why I said that I've never seen anything like this before. I was curious if anyone may have any details of any similar such scenario; that is, where a player has publicly called out his coach/GM as was the recent situation with Thornton

Big diff between facts n a dumb question. Keep lookin idc.
Sad sack pro team for 48yrs vs not much better in 45yrs.
Still 3 cup finals beats squat diddly.
