Rangers blogger saying that SJ may have offered their first for Talbot and Klein but once Sather was ready to pull the trigger Wilson pulled that offer from the table too.

I'm thinking Wilson is a little nervous about his job.

He should have been canned after the fiasco in january. Instead the coach took the brunt.

Seriously? Doing that to Trader Glen is tantamount to blasphemy. He's going to be blackballed just like Gillis was. What an ass, it's bad enough to do it to a rookie GM, but to the 2nd longest running GM (next to Holland) is just stupidity itself.

I agree. How he's still around is a mystery (unless Wilson has compromising photos of the owner boinking a yak). Seriously, how does he retain his job when players are saying publicly to shut his mouth. I don't think I've ever seen that happen, actually. Obviously he's well past his best-before expiry date.

If it's true that he also wanked Sather around, then I don't believe he is going to last long regardless. If no other teams are talking to you then you quickly become a lame-duck GM, and Wilson has been trending down for quite a few years now and seems to have pissed off quite a few people during his tenure.

He hasn't made any real moves to improve his "stale" core either.

Bieksa will be traded, though we may be in a position of weakness right now, he may ended up getting less than we wanted as we need to dump salary now

Still doesn't give us a position of strength to dump. Teams still know we have to. What JB should do is sign everyone and trade Chris Higgins to stay under cap. We arent expecting much for him anyways. Then Trade Bieksa for fair value.

Sbisa for a bag of pucks. please!!! it would be Bennings greatest trade. Possibly the greatest trade ever pulled off in NHL history.

You watch he will have his breakout season paired with Hamhuis.

What? So instead of his plus/minus being -999, it'll be -998? Great, so much for getting value for Hamhuis.

Jim Benning may be higher on Sbisa than Sbisa himself is.

If the rest of his game catches up to his skating ability he will be a solid defenceman going forward.

Hopefully he can figure it out soon, he hasn't done it yet after 350+ NHL games. He'd be one of the rare 1% of players who suddenly becomes decent after 350+ games of being crappy.

I would say crappy, inconsistent would be the word. Focus is what he needs.

I've listed the facts before, nothing suggests he's even average at offense or defense. I've asked anyone to provide evidence that he's even mediocre at either and have yet to see a good argument with facts that support that. He's just fast and physical, that's about it.

He's part of the problem with this d-core, not the solution. The only thing he has going for him is that he's young and that he hits, something this fanbase is so desperate for that they're willing to overlook that he's not a good player and a liability to the team.
