So how about that Draft!!
Provorov
The guy I wanted like crazy not named McDavid or Eichel.
Konecny
Super surprised, really wanted Guryanov or Svechnikov, but I think the kid is going to be the "I can't believe they passed on him"
Felix Sandstrom
So hyped the Flyers got him, I think people are going to be excited about this kid in 3-4 years. I mocked him in the 3rd round, but thought he would go later.
Matej Tomek
I was really really hoping for Sandstrom, but to get Tomek too...WOW. I see great potential depth for these two and Stolarz.
Kase and Marody
Promising raw projects, hoping for a gem out of one of them.
Ivan Fedotov
Who? *shrugs* - Glak18
pretty good weekend for hextall and co. hope they stay the course. |

Coyotes don't tender several. Marc Arcobello and Mark Visentin are the two most interesting to me. Arcobello has show an ability to score some points in the NHL as a bottom six guy and Visentin was a former 1st round draft choice, who might be a good option to split time in AHL with Stolarz. Visentin is only 22.
Oh, and Tye McGinn wasn;t tendered |

I think it could be as simple as they also don't know exactly where Richards tried to cross, so you don't immediately know whose jurisdiction it is to look for the paperwork you are searching for -- if it is even processed yet
For instance, say Richards got popped at the border at, oh, 2 p.m. on a Friday -- this is just an example, by the way, of how, the process works
You aren't getting arraigned on the weekend for a federal charge in the States, so you would have to sit for the weekend on a hold, wait for your Monday hearing, then that paperwork has to be processed. The Feds move at their own pace; if they slapped another hold on you, it could be even longer
Those are valid questions, the ones about where is the paperwork
Depending on what happened, it might not even have been released yet
Again, that is just an example of a weekend arrest, nothing more - AllInForFlyers
Interestingly the lake where his cabin is and where he boats and such spans the border. That could make it dicey to know who is in charge |

Wouldn't mind the Flyers bringing in a youngish goalie with pro experience |

i knew when mike richards was traded to la it wasn't just "a hockey move"... the guy had issues. seeing that pretty much confirmed doesn't really give me any joy, but rather a broken heart. I remember how awesome he was especially that shift against Montreal. it seems like he was never quite that guy after that. hopefully he gets his life together, and can salvage his career. |

Weird how the Flyers let kids go, they play in the NHL for a bit with another team and OMG look who we gave away. Then they, not named Sharp, plop and fizzle. |

I'd take another young goalie to push Stolarz (and himself) down in the minors |

The fact Carter doesn't have the same issues anymore, shows who the catalyst may have been. Although I still love the Carter trade, then and now. |

Carter played some of his best hockey I ever saw him play in the playoffs two years ago. Just dominated |

Carter has a great skill set, but for a player that shoots so much (hitting and missing the net) I just expect more production. Very similar to Kessel, yeah they both get assists, but they are more complimentary players with high price tags. I don't care what your name is, but if you can get 300+ shots a year on net you have to be a consistent 40 goal scorer (maybe a down year of low to mid 30's).
It's not even like he has less ice time in LA, he gets tons. Especially with a much more wide open west coast conference style, I am really surprised he hasn't had another 40+ goal season.
EDIT: I stand corrected, he doesn't even get that many shots anymore and has a really good shooting %. Nevermind it's just Kessel that sucks. |

I am interested moreso because it could provide insight into just how a pro athlete falls off the face of the earth like he did, at his age
Richards was never a fluid skater, but when I read that he was being moved down in the lineup a couple of years back, I watched multiple games, and he was just a shell of himself
It was startling. We fought about it because no one could truly believe what they were seeing
But this incident could provide some insight into how a player goes from where he was when the Flyers moved him to where he Is now
Regression could be part of it, but I guess I don't believe that regression is all of it |

It's a good move, he was a good role player for the team. The player has a say also. Ryan White may want to test free agency. - MJL

Too much temptation out in Lala land ... it just made it too easy to go further down the rabbit hole (imo, of course).
I agree, I also hope he gets his sh*t together. |

I'd sniff around and see what's up, but I'm not sold that Tampa really wants to move him despite the playoff scratches |
