Although the team is no longer on the hook for his cap charge, the cap-recapture penalties are effective immediately.
also from the espn article. just to confirm, because there's been a lot of disagreement on this here and in Kings thread. |

Richards crossed the border into Kensington all the time. What's the big deal? - hereticpride
That's more dangerous then going into Mexico. |

Doesn't sound like that's it from the Strang article, if the info is correct. Doesn't just sound like conditioning either - eayost
That article sounds pretty bad for Richards |

no coburn either.
At this moment, I say the D is weaker.
That will be a big issue - nails
Coburn is a loss, but he only played 39 games with the team last season. There's a lot of factors in play. |

No, not one bit. People tend to overlook the fact that this is a severe legal matter, even if he "partied" in front of the person there would be no grounds to terminate. |

Because it is still pending. The moment someone says guilty, he will be cut loose. Otherwise there would be no grounds to terminate. |

I trust Hextall. I'm pretty sure he is a good player, there may be an adjustment period to the NA game. I read he can play both sides of the ice, which is also a plus.

Different scenario....we don't have all of the facts yet. Kings were right to suspend him and let the legal process run its course.
We need more facts before we can compare anyone to anyone. |

Yep, and he's been suspended. Although I think it is reasonable to assume that if Richards did do something at the border, wouldn't he get his day in court also?

You would want the Flyers to sign someone who beat their wife and who would be currently in prison? |

Can't terminate Voynov while he's suspended-or trade him,either- and Stoll is a pending UFA. No need to terminate either of them, despite the optics |

That doesn't matter to some teams owners, they don't care & will wash their hands of it and get away as fast as they can. Others suspend them & see which way things turn. |
