So Carolina, NYI, us, Edmonton and Buffalo have made the best moves this offseason so far
And the Kings, usually one of the best managed teams, just terminated the contract of a team guy instead of a GF beater and cocaine sniffer
has hell offficially frozen over? What is this? - FLYERSROCK!
There are still legal issues to work out over the Voynov situation. Perhaps they haven't terminated his contract, simply because they can't. He has been suspended however
That player may cost you more money in free agency. It's not really a bad trade. Chances are, Rinaldo is a better player than who you take in the 3rd round, which is a player with very low odds of making it as a regular in the NHL. The flip side is that you could also get lucky, and pick a better player, but the odds are against it. - MJL
If you don't like the numbers, you could still turn right back around and call the Flyers about Zac Rinaldo
Rinaldo wasn't going anywhere in two days -- and even if he was, you can find players just like him elsewhere

You're correct, but perhaps they like Rinaldo better than any player they might get in free agency at the same price range. While I don't think Rinaldo is anything special, I don't agree with those who say he isn't a legitimate NHL player.

Hextall is having a great week. - Jsaquella
You know who else is having a great week? Us. The Flyers fans. We may or may not be looking at a playoff team next year, but you can see the future taking shape and it looks promising.

It's been looking promising for a number of years now, but that promise has certainly gotten stronger over the last few days.

My two big take aways from the Provorov one were that he
A. Plays with a 4 inch extension on his stick, so he gets more whip on his shot, and plays with a reach closer to someone who's 6'4" or 6'5"and using a regular sized stick.
B. Made a play last year on the powerplay where, as he was skating up with the puck on the rush, recognized the opponent's defensive formation, recognized that they were changing their defensive formation, recognized how to take advantage of their formation switch, and scored a goal on that rush as a result.

Would be nice to see the Phantoms crawl into the playoff picture as well. A wave of young talented d-men should help. Exciting times within the organization seems to have elevated since Kimmo lifted the cup
