Either or. - manvanfan
In that case then I dont see any ONE guy out there on the market who can turn Vancouver into a western conference powerhouse so I would assume either kick the tires on a big name out there via trade or possibly looking into the future coz you guys dont want to do what the Flames did thats for sure (even though it seems to have worked out in the end) |

So do people get banned around here for calling people bumholes and pieces of poop or just for referring to someone as an bumhole. |

Have to agree with you here. Lucic would be the beast to go after.
I don't want Mike Richards. I think after all the crap that's gone down his drive / killer instinct are gone. If you can poke that bear and wake him up perhaps... I just think he's too far gone.
Of course I would love to be proven wrong, however, I feel like I seen this movie too many times. - rugdnit
Richards and/or Lucic if the price makes sense. New blood to keep the rebuild interesting, yes rebuild. |

I want to hear actual opinions.
Everybody pick ONE free agent you would like Van to sign. Where they would fit in and why. Plus the contract they Should receive - manvanfan
Justin Williams, 1 year big money. Trade him at the deadline to a contending team. |

Yep, it would just be a patch for the short/long term, powerhouse days are over. Time to figure things out. (I hope) |

You guys will be ok if your GM is smart.....the first rule of a rebuild is to do the opposite of what we did in our rebuild |

You can interview him see what his mind set is. I think 1 year from 1-1.5 is reasonable. Did score at almost .3 ppg last season limited role with worse 4th liners then ours. Could teach vey how to take a faceoff. |

I don't know... I'm just turned off by all the controversy and speculation with Richards topped off by being stuffed in the minors and being bought out. There is enough smoke there to choke a person. I'd rather give the spot to Horvat and watch him learn(prolly no worse than Bonio). There will be a C added tho most likely. |

Completely agree. It's very hard in this league with average draft picks.
If you want to be really good you are going to have to be really bad for a bit.
That is how todays NHL works. |

He seems to like players that play in the Ivan halinka tournament. I wonder what the NHL success rate is for players that play there. |
