Very disappointed in canucks so far. Not even that there wasnt huge headlines, more just how so many team in the conference are greatly improving yet so far for us theres only subtraction. With the tight west even 2 losses can mean missing playoffs. Luckily theres a few months till season starts. But now the price goes up for lesser players. And we need to shed salary.....crappy time to be a fan.

Perhaps the plan is to play the prospects. But who's gonna replace mathias?

That's an opinion, like we all like to express on this site. I laugh at EK's stuff all the time, however he is also entitled to his own. I put things out there that are not popular with the Canuck's homers. Personally I respect his thoughts on this team as it stands today and how to make it better. That's why we are here right? Chill.

If he respected others instead of trying to force feed some of his ridiculous own, then all would be fine. Sending long standing vets to the minors like DS or KB ? You respect that? Good for you. It's about him not respecting other posters that is the issue.

Although no teams roster is set, I still think the Oilers goal tending and D is suspect.
I like their acquisitions, but i'm not convinced they are better than the nucks....yet.

If we can get better defensemen and play better defense then I dont view goaltending as a serious issue but if our defense sucks and we have to lean on our goalies then yes maybe it becomes an issue but im not ready to say yet that we have surpassed the Nucks because who knows what free agency will bring

We have had a few disagreements and you made it personal. I just don't care to get THAT into it. Doesn't get us anywhere. A heated argument that evolves the conversation is fine.

Benning will shop a bargain to replace if needed... one of many stop gaps to come I believe.

I think most people would agree at this point that building to compete in the next couple of seasons is just a step backwards now. We could pull it off for a couple of season at best but we would have to give up prospects and picks to do it... and the curve would catch up quickly and we then face not having enough pieces to compete and not have the youth to grow out of it. It's a trap we've seen too many times (Toronto and Calgary). I hope management is going this way. Looks like it. Do our best.

I believe everyone here has the right to their own opinion, and that all opinions are equal. I don't care if you post once a week or a thousand times a week. Beating the same drum all the time doesn't make a person more right, it just makes them more loud. Just because some people live here doesn't make this their domain.
