The story is written as a trade idea and asks would the Canucks be interested? I failed to see a rumor reported in it. The idea itself is interesting. Seabrook would be both younger and a upgrade and if Bieksa were dumped, there would be ample room for his salary with Corrado replacing KB.
I don't think the Hawks would be happy with just saving 1.5mil in the deal. Not only would they want a young player not on the roster from us like the author suggest, they would probably want us to eat at least another small contract from them.

First I heard of these rumors about Hamilton being unpopular. It didnt make sense why they moved him out but if true, they probably did the right thing. Not sure about the returns but time will tell.
