Pressure is on San Jose if they can't get any D via Free agency. They currently only have Burns, Braun, Vlasic, Dillon and Mueller. That's a pretty weak D. If i'm Benning I make San Jose Pay if they strike out during free agency.

I would have them give up a defensive prospect, preferably not from San Jose. If we're handcuffed again, take the pick b/c it will be a high one from that SJ.

I am expecting disappointment over the next few days and just hoping JB holds onto his picks because it will be more difficult to make the playoffs next season.

A young proven goalie with a cheap cap hit. Sounds a little more then a top 10 pick to me. At least a prospect with it.

He had never been a starter for a full season. I have no issues with the return.

Aaron Ward on TSN says don't focus so much on trading Bieksa, rather Edler for a better return. Trade both I say. Secondly Pratt is a tool.

I think Bieksa has to be gone, they talk about lame duck coaches, this will be a distraction until he is dealt.

Vrbata and Higgins, I can see gone at tdl if they are out of the race. They should move Higgins asap, if they can get any sort of 3rd pick for him.

Wouldn't mind missing the playoffs and acquiring picks. Youngsters a year older, a year closer to becoming nhlers.

I am still surprised we didn't take a dman in the first round. Time will tell.

I really wanted to see them go D as well. In watching footage of Boeser -- The guy goes to the net and he has some really nice snipe to him. Something we don't have enough of. This pays off is spades in the playoffs. Teams will let you work the perimeter, but they will make it hell to get to the front of the net. As we have all seen you can be very successful working the perimeter in the regular season, but it becomes exponentially harder in the post season.
