Typical conversation with booner:

Bloated: the earth is a sphere

Booner: no it's not. It's flat.

Bloated: I'm pretty sure it's a sphere

Booner: now you're talking in circles.

This tread has been interesting lately.

I took a few weeks off after the loss to Calgary, glad I did.

Then there's you...

Bloated: the earth is flat,

Booner: people dont believe that anymore... except you.

Bloated, You $@#% piece of *&%#@! as soon as someone disagrees with you, the insults come. You have always been like that and will never change taking... everything personal and getting angry... just a bum hole who name calls.

Not sure if it was covered already, but what would a realistic return for bieksa be from the Oilers. If for some crazy reason he were to accept a trade there. I think he would be a great fit with the young oil team.

Seems like he wants to be on the west coast. The word is he was looking at houses in SJ already.

2nd & conditional 3rd (if the oil make the playoffs the Canucks get a 3rd)

... but for the record, sphere is kinda circular. So I would be right.

Listen, the oilers don't need bieksa one bit. He can't give the oilers anything you don't already have. Stay clear.

I think they already traded Marincin, so a 2nd it is

Or Marincin moving was another rumour or proposal.

I just closed it with the predictability that everyone would expect from me for extra laughs.

Trade him.
- VanHockeyGuy

Vrbata and Miller are here to start the season. If we are in a PO spot at TDL they stay...if we are out by 6-10 pts or more they go. Simple logic.

That already fell through though did it not?
I don't think he would want to go to Edm. Not many do. I was just trying to gauge his value to canuck fans.

A top 4 experienced d man with a mean streak. We do have Ferrance, but he has barely played like a #6 other than that the D is pretty green.

If it was up to the fans it would be two 1st and a 2nd. But it's not up to us. When his market value was tested he couldn't even generate a mid 2nd round pick.

No value there at all.

Is the oilers D as good as the Rangers who have one of if not the best D in the league? Definitely will be a struggle to keep our playoff spot. Maybe after missing the playoffs JB will see that sitting on his thumbs will get him left behind.
- manvanfan

I'm hoping that JB sees that by just drafting picks doesn't make you a better team, yes, we need to improve our organization depth in Utica but that doesn't mean you don't use the assets you have ie. trading away expiring contract players.

The only mean streak he has is if mcdavid steps out of line he will put a beating on him. Other than that it's all bravado.

Why? He's going to have a bounce back season? Isn't it more likely he will regress even further as he ages?

Booner is easily one of the top Canuck posters on this site, he rubs some people the wrong way but at least he's not posting about waiving Kevin Bieksa or trying to trade Jensen, Higgins and a 1st for Ryan Johansen type of ideas.

And this is coming from someone who's gotten into a heated argument with him before.

Because D always go high at the deadline. Just two years ago Douglas Murray fetched 2 2nds. There's no reason to thing Bieksa can't fetch one.
