If KB isn't moved this summer then I hope at TDL when they ask him to waive he says no thanks

I wouldn't be apposed to him still on the team. I like him but he had a horrible season. He's not the worst player to have in the locker room. I would like to see change but it doesn't necessarily mean he leaves. I agree the core needs to go but I think forward need to go just as bad.

I wasn't worried about our D going into last season. This year is different yes but I don't think we have the worst D in the league if it remains the same.

Forwards need to go. Higgins Hansen Burrows should all be gone and make room for youth to develop. I don't care if we have a few seasons that aren't successful if young players are developing at an NHL level.

Seriously? You wanna go out and get UFA's so the team can stay in the middle of the pack again? What the hell's the sense in that? Let the younger players come in and play, they need to know the organization is willing to give younger players a shot at earning a spot.

Signing those guys just prolongs the inevitable, things are about to go south, brace yourself because it's gonna happen....and it's gonna be better for the future of the club than middling around the 17th to 23rd draft position.

You do realize that you need veterans on the club right?

Three years from now when those guys are all gone. When JV, Horvat, McCann, Gaunce, cassels, Sven are that 21-25 range.

I would worry about veteran leadership after we get rid of 8 or 9 of the existing geezers.

I am sure the will be all extended anyways , this is Vancouver

Sedin
Sedin
Burrows
Higgins
Hansen
Dorsett
Bieksa (hopefully traded)
Hamhuis
Edler

All above players are 29 years of age or older except Dorsett, who turns 29 in December and he's played over 400 NHL games. I think we're good.

That's why picking up some "middle of the road" FA is not a bad idea.
Right now players three years from now that may still be here:
20-23
Horvat, vey, baerstchi, clendening, corrado
24-27
Bonino, Kassian, Kenins, sbisa, Tanev
28-30
Dorsett, hansen, edler.

Everyone else is already past 30. I didn't mentions guys who probbly won't be back. That's slim if all we are going to add in three years is young 20 year olds. Frolik, (beleskey if he didn't want so much), Matt Irwin.

If Canucks can get a 2016 2 nd round pick for Bieksa from the Sharks , you take that offer. Sharks are going to suck badly even more so with KB on the team

I really suggest keep the Cap Space and Draft picks so when a Dougie Hamilton deal comes along you can make a bid

After next season, 22 million in cap space. With only Kassian and Kenins to sign if we aren't picking up on vrbata, Hamhuis, bieska.
They could basically allocate the 4.5 cap hit to beleskey or frolik who are 26 and 27.

I fully expect the Sedins to be extended for another three years at the bargain price of 5 mil per

Either way they're coming off the books. We will need to find the replacements in the 24-27 range now so in three years they are the new core.

I know you think it is a troll post but it is not beyond the point of belief. In three more years if Canucks still do not have a 1C and they are producing 50 + pts.? This is Vancouver, we get attatched to things easily here
