Hope your wrong . I hope he turns out to be Douglas Murray 2.0 - VANTEL
More like Luca Sbisa 2.0, Swedish though, for common sense... |

That's the ultimate slap in the face for a prospect. |

Does that mean Kessel is now worth 2 1sts and 3 2nds ? - golfingsince
I'm just glad they've been knocked down a few pegs. (frank) Julien, (frank) Marchand, and (frank) their commentators!!! |

I was quite sad when they let Adam Polasek go last year. In his first full season the Czech league. 36 pts in 52 games. |

It's unreal. Franchises can go decades either looking for a #1D or a #1C and they give both up for peanuts within 2 years. |

Too bad our (frank)ing divisional rival benefited from their stupidity. The guys they drafted with those picks is the hilarious part. If they walk away with Connor/Barzal/Zboril then there's at least some sanity in it. The Jets had a better draft than them |

It should be a lesson to anyone advocating an Oilers type rebuild that the same can be accomplished in 3 years minus lucking into McDavid. |

Should let Jensen do the same thing. Let him to go Europe for a couple of seasons. |

It's pretty simple. Your team progressively gets worse. You make your draft picks and try and pick up a few more here or there. By the time your team is going for the worst, you already have a couple years of players that are further along and then you add a top talent to a young solid core hopefully, if your team doesn't (frank)EN suck at drafting miserably.
Oh and ya start with defence. |

Vantel, you make no sense.
So lets see, the Canucks may have been given better offers than the SJ one then choose not to go that route and push for less in their own division?
If these other offers came in and were as good or better that the SJ one, KB would have been approached by JB. If KB declined, then that brings us back to 1 team.
You are so lost vantel. - boonerbuck
Hey can you do me a favour and find a way to shorten this into a location ? Thanks. |

The way I see it is you build a culture where your team tries to win every year, even if they fall short of that goal. Losing NEVER becomes acceptable. Draft well, trade well, rebuild complete. |

Why didn't they go after Hamilton? Aging core with guys that were never able to get it done in the playoffs? Willie doesn't like rookies. Softest team in the west by a longshot. They are going to get kicked around like an old tin can this year. |

Vantel, I have a life outside of the internet.
I would show people "you when you are not on HB" but the truth is, thats only when you sleep. Maybe you need a life outside of HB and you wouldnt be so disappointed that all these rumors turn out to be BS and don't amount to a 1 year rebuild... - boonerbuck
This is pretty good, but it still won't fit as a location. |

Because the Canucks didn't have a 2015 top fifteen 1st round pick and two 2015 2nd's to trade to Boston? |

they are horrible. you just need to look outside of this forum for people to agree with you.
clarkson probably has a great contract in the columbus forum - sensnucksnocups
I'm confused...aren't we the ones that are constantly bashing the Sbisa/Miller deals?

But we do have the best 20 prospects in the world.... Just ask any Canucks fan, they think that they'll all pan out and be lines:
1a
1b
1c
1d
And pairings
1-a
1-b
1-c
And our goalies will both become legit top 5 starters in the league.
* I hope today's trades taught nuck fans some reality and showed our bias... We all thought Lack was great, turns out the highest bid in the league for him was an early 3rd and a 7th. |

I'm disappointed with Benning's and Linden's performance at the draft. The Patrick McNally deal was fine as he was never going to make the team. Selecting Brock Boeser was great in my books. He was one guy I thought would make a great Canuck. I didn't expect him to be available at 23rd. I am most frustrated and saddened by the loss of Eddie Lack. The Canucks have traded away 3 great goalies in a row: Luongo, Schneider, and now Lack. Markstrom was pretty good in the AHL, but his NHL numbers are terrible. This deal will backfire on the Canucks. And I am shocked to hear that the Canucks are reportedly trying to sign Markstrom long term. Why don't they see how poorly he plays first? That doesn't seem unreasonable to me. |
