Not a chance in the world Buffalo does that. Why would a rebuilding team offer any type of compensation for a 34 year old defenseman?

We already said to hit cap floor and its a veteran. 4.5m on a veteran defense who most likely will play top 4 for them is a bargain.

We'll probably stop tanking the year you start. In all seriousness, the tanking has ended, but, we're not winning anything big in the next couple of years. Thus, Bieksa holds no value to us. He should have value for a SC contender though.

Say signs a 2-3yr extension @3m per he will fit in price wise n offer up good value.
What he offers is character n savvy n dressing room boosts.
SJ BUFFALO DALLAS CBJ DETROIT all fit IMO.
Other teams may covet him for the short term.
The market for D is ok but price is what will determine everything.

Depends who your management group is targeting. I think that is what has held Edmonton back- not a good mix of youth and veterans. But hey, I am sure there are a few ways to build a winning team and your team has a plan in place.

Juulsen to me looks better than Chabot, especially playing in a tougher league. It's close though.
