Truem but if Buf throws him into the fire it could destroy him mentally and his prime could be hampered. They need a goalie than can fo r a60/40 split this year with Lehner being 40 and then 60/40 next with Lehner being the 60.

Legwand is probably a type of guy that Buffalo wants on their roster to help teach the kids. So although many view it as strictly a cap dump, he actually brings value to Buffalo. I also think Lehner is worth more than Lack alone, so we'd be looking at a very late first or and early 2nd for him. Nice return for a UFA signing.

I'm starting to think neither Markstrom or Lack is going to be traded now. If Buffalo was willing to give up the 21st for Lehner and Legwand, I would have been happy sending Markstrom/Higgins for the 31st.

If Soderberg's rights got a 6th round pick why cant we trade the rights of Mathias for same? Mathias had 20 goals whereas Soderberg had 13. Mathias can play both wing and Center. JB needs to wake the (frank) up and start trading the assets.

Just because one team overpaid doesn't mean the expectation should be everyone should now. Two 2nds for Lack would be an outstanding get in a deep draft for defensemen.
