Uhh, its not that bad. If we dont retain any cap space we may have enough to trade for crosby.

Well for (frank) sakes. I would have given up lack and higgins for the 21st.

Yup. Just saw that. SJ in on one of our Goalies? I don't see Wilson going after Markkstrom.

NYR are meeting now. Flames are pushing hard for Talbot. Oilers, Stars and Sharks still in mix. Two 2nds plus get it done?

Lehner is 23 years old, Lack is 27 - big difference in my opinion.

One thing to remember on Lehner: he's controllable for four more years, two years signed plus two more years RFA...

It kinda is, Timmonen wasnt even expected to play that much and got 2 seconds.

Bieksa played third line minutes last year. Free cap space. Get a guy like Meloche in return and use his salary to bring in a reliable Dman

An early 2nd round pick for KB would be an excellent return.

Ian Mac pointing out that A Bieksa trade frees a roster spot for Frank C and also gives them Cap space for the bigger trade

Lehner and Legwand for the 21st overall... IMHO that makes the price for Lack, Schneider-like (top 10 pick) and Talbot must be going to Arizona for 3rd overall if that's going down.

NYR have offer(s) of two second-round picks for Cam Talbot. Waiting to see if they can increase that yield. CGY, EDM, DAL amongst suitors.

They'll be lots of nice options at 39...

Makes no sense for Boston to do that, Lucic is going either this year or next and Chara is no longer elite.

Don't see them making a bigger trade, Bieksa for a late 2nd - early third seems fair. Lack to Edmonton for #16 seems extremely fair considering NYR wants the moon for Talbot and Lehner and a cap dump equals the 21st.

Lehner also needs a season or 2 as backup whereas Lack is ready to be a starter now. Unless they get a Goalie to shelter Lehner they will ruin his developement.

No he doesn't, he's played a lot of games when Anderson went down a few times, Lehner is as ready as Lack to be a starter. My opinion.
