Come on guys... tell me something new dammit! - boonerbuck
I doubt we hear anything until just before Round 2, I don't see us being able to trade up in the draft and I doubt we have any massive blockbuster deals. Likely as not Lack and Bieksa get traded for a 2nd (31-40 pick) and late 3rd respectively. Lucic to Vancouver is not going to happen unless Benning has some photos of Neely naked and corrupting the morals of young sheep by blowing goats. |

Late 3rd? D-men have high trade value. Goalies don't. |

that's what I thought the Ducks must have on Benning, when he signed Sbisa |

If I recall correctly, that's also what people said about Bonino, no? |

I really do hope Benning does something radical to get us one of the top D-men in the draft. We are thin thin thin back there. It's a pipe dream but it's an area that needs urgent addressing. A true 1D prospect is something we've lacked since Bourdon died (RIP). |

Total pipe dream, but it would be great. I think that people would be a lot more optimistic if we had a potential stud D man on the way.
I'm almost more jealous of Nurse than McDavid. |

Burns? that would take a lot of assets going the other way (unless there is another Burns out there which I don't know about )
I do like that Dillon kid, though, as we've discussed before. I wonder if there is anything to that Bieksa rumour. I guess we'll see shortly. |

That'd be good too. He and Hamhuis would be a pretty good pretty interesting pairing. |

11pm eastern and nothing, tomorrow is going to be a busy day. Better set the alarm for 5am. |

I just hope he recoups his 2nd and 3rd round pick, if he can do it and upgrade (either by adding or by subtracting say a Miller/Bieksa/Burrows/Higgins/name your NTC) the team, so much the better.
I think the cap going up to 71.4 instead of the 68 that was possible screwed us, a down cap would have forced teams to dump salary and probably would have upped the desperation factor of several teams up against the cap. As of now, there's still too much wiggle room. |

Per multiple people on CDC. Bieksa, Markstrom and the 23rd pick for their 9th pick is reportedly the deal on the table per CKNW

Edit: that's a tweet from someone, not me. |
