I can understand a small market team with lots of cap space taking a flyer on a guy after one hot season and hoping he continues to light it up.

Well they tried to trade Jumbo Joe, but he wouldn't have any of it. If those guys won't waive then their best option might as well be to load up and go for it. They should have been a playoff team, maybe a couple of D will help them compete (with better goaltending)

I'd pick their roster over the Leafs to GM. They still have Couture, Pavelski, Burns as a future core. Definitely need to start cashing in on some older assets though. Seriously, it's time.
