I guess he's got versatility going for him, unlike Ward who is pretty much one dimensional. I'm curious as to what he'll sign for, as that will be one of those 'dominos' for players of his ilk, which there now seems to be a few of - a guy that can do a little bit of this, a little bit of that, while also chipping in offensively. Is that worth north of $5?

For some reason, I thought he was quite a bit older than that. That will certainly put him ahead of Ward at least, as you noted. What do you think he'll ultimately get on the market? (I don't think the Ducks sign him for anything over $5, though - good grief, I just noted he's only scored 20 goals ONCE and that was last year- cashing in already, eh?

He did just get his team to game 7 of the SCF against perhaps the best team of recent times.

anyway, Maclean is a good coach who would be an improvement over a number of NHL head coaches IMO.
