I think this is good and sad. Divisional rivals see the potential of Lack in their lineup. Our market is limited if teams in the east think Talbot or Lehner are better than Lack.

When you say "he is taking" do you mean JB or Lack and his agent are involved too, contract extension possibilities?

Highly disagree. Core foundation all ready in place. An average goalie can get this team to the playoffs by 2016

I'm not saying that Lack doesn't deserve it but I don't think the price is as high as one might hope it is.

talbot technically had a better record and numbers even though I like him a lot less than Lack. Talbot played in a very good defensive system in NYR whereas Lack in VAN is in a system where goalies are hung out to dry very often and they still had similar numbers. Lack faced 150 more shots in just 3 games of difference between Neuvirth and Lack. The thing that scares me about Lack was his playoff performance. 1-3 with a 3.03 GAA and .886 S%.

I honestly think that 31 for Lack straight up is an overpayment. I'd hope that a 4th or something would come back with Lack in that deal.

Windows get stuck open and closed all the time. With the right moves, some luck and chemistry, you never know the impact of some of these trades.

If we could get a top4 dman that helped our offence, we would be a different team.

Hope the Sabres are more competitive in the near future, than you think, that losing culture isn't so great for the prospects.
