I think this is something we're all unanimous on in this forum.

Heres my offer for Lucic.

Keeping in Mind they want D that are cheap and to shed salary.

Kassian Subban Grenier for Lucic

I might have missed this but are people really crying about trading Lack?

We need to trade a goalie, that much is clear. My only comment was I don't think the return will have a substantial impact on this organization now or in the future. The odds are against any 2nd making good but for sure the #31 in a deep draft is like a late 1st rounder so if the offer is there we should go for it.

Crying, no. Just stuck on Miller costing us Lack without seeing the upside of converting him to a prospect. It really is about Miller and not Lack to be honest.

A decent haul for a guy with one year left until UFA. I'm ok with it, but a full deal (inc terms) would need to be agreed to between Benning and Lucic prior to that trade being made.

I see 2 more years of 6 mil for an old guy who is average. that is what bothers me

If they are shopping D, they will look for better than Subban...the trade centers around Kassian. It doesnt seem like something to consider if that's whats being offered for their D needs. If they are looking for cheap young wingers... Kassian could be a good piece.

Yeah. The unfortunate thing about that contract was that it looked underwhelming even before the first year was completed. That's as much a testament to Lack's steady performances than anything else.

I could change Subban and put in Sbisa to sweeten the deal

Interesting articles by Yost and Cullen on probability of playing NHL games by draft position

For those who don't want 3rd and 4th liners then you don't want 2nd or 3rd round picks because those are the lines where the player will probably end up.

My prediction leading up to Draft Day:

Lack to Buffalo for #31
- hold #23 n #31 picks
If Vrbata is moved its for a mid 1st i hope (#18 roughly)
- hold #18 #23 #31
Bieksa to CBJ for #33
- hold #18 #23 #31 #33

Assume JB wheels n deals the above who do we Draft?
Sweeteners could be included to get it done.
3-4 picks in rounds 1 & 2 depends on Vrbata moved.

Hope the Nuckies have a fast and effective rebuild. Need to swap some assets for picks/prospects by moving some NTC/NMCs though. Good luck...

One of the other sites was showing a Lucic Giants shift where he hits everything and then drops the gloves and wins a fight, I think it was against WD and he was coaching MedHat.

There are a few people on the Canucks with a Lucic history. What that means, I dunno.

Often means nothing once they are on your team. Most players can leave those issues on the ice. Though i don't like him, look at Kes and Anaheim. They hated each other for a decade.

Lack to BUF or EDM(whoever misses out on Talbot) for a 2nd is my guess.

Don't think Sabres are sending 31 for Lack - 31 is basically a 1st rd pick, especially with this draft class. Would Vancouver fans goes nuts if it ends up being 51?
