P.S. did you get banned from the Flames threads for suggesting a cornucopia of Sbisa/Flames trade scenarios? or did you just miss us?

I now love both teams. Sam Bennett will always be 18 in my heart

Sedins with Jagr...slowest line in history but once they start cycling it wouldn't end until they score or get tackled to the ice.

Serious question.

What kind of team do you think calgary has next season with and without Giordano?

Either way they will be good. They don't put all their eggs in two players or less

I think they stay around the same with a healthy Giordano. They're due to regress but assuming Giordano stays healthy, that should help offset some of that plus they have Sam Bennett who may even be good enough for a top 6 role next year. Also have money to spend on a UFA.

Without Giordano for a full season they'd miss the playoffs imo

I think they end up like Colorado, especially because LA won't be so bad next year having the entire summer off. Anaheim, LA probably locks in the Pacific. A lot will depend on how the off-season goes. If they lose Giordano and don't replace his minutes they won't be able to pull off the same sort of miracle they did after the All-Star Break.

Doughty, Kopitar, Quick and Toffoli will keep them competitive but Lombardi does need to consider trading an older vet for some youth IMO

He needs to figure out what he'll ultimately do with Richards (good grief, talk about a fall from grace) - some serious $$$ and term to deal with. Does he start the season in Manchester? or do they pull off some sort of salary-retention etc miracle deal this summer?

I'd consider trading Carter as crazy as it sounds before he declines. Gaborik as well. But the return has to be worth it.

I've never been a fan of either but I think they would fetch some quality returns, especially if traded this summer (doubt it would happen, though)

See that is smart GMing trade pieces with high value that will start to decline , meanwhile Canucks have 23 untouchables
