Drouin is being handled the same way Kucherov was, and that certainly worked out just fine. You don't play in Tampa 'til you're ready... period. Yzerman and Cooper are lock-step on this.

IMO Drouin for #3 (whether straight up or TB adding) is intriguing

yes Stamkos-Drouin will be amazing, but Hedman-Hanifin could be an amazing top 2. with Stralman-Garrison, has potential to be world class top 4, possibly Heddy-Stralman, Garrison-Hanifin. Few teams could match up against that kind of two way potential

They are both play left defense and shoot left. Hedman has never played right side and I don't think Hanifin has either so the pairing doesn't work. On top of that Cooper likes a L-R shooting on each pairing if he can get it so I doubt this would happen.

In all honesty, this off-season the only thing that our general manager has to do is get Steven Stamkos sign to an extension. I would like to see Matt Carle shipped out, but they Matt Carle at 5.5 million per season it's very hard to move. However if we retain some salary, say a Matt Carle at 4.5 million or even 4 million would be much easier for another team to swallow. I would much rather have 1 to 1.5 million sitting on the books for the next three years then Matt Carle's 5.5 million for the next three years.

Yeah I would pass on a potentially elite defenseman because he's a lefty too.
