I came across a trade proposal involving Minny and Toronto and I don't think it was posted by a Leaf fan. Minny's 1st (20th), Tuch, Dumba, and Vanek for Kessel. I think Fletcher would be immediately fired for making that deal, but if it's on the table??? Take it and run!!!!!!

I've heard the same rumor involving Dumba, 1st rd pick, and Vanek. But the reason Minnesota is the front runner is because Kessel played college hockey for the Minnestoa Golden Gophers, He's familiar with the area and he's from Wisconsin which is just a stone throw away. To me personally I think Minnesota would make the most sense for Phil and his family

Calgary made him available in the expansion draft. No one took him so Calgary bought out his contract.

And I would say it was more of a culture change.
