Kenins at that price is good n indicates much.
I see JB makin IMO 2 trades of forwards.
- Vrbata if it gets a 1st or 2 2nds.
- Vey is on the bubble n maybe is packaged with Lack.
- possibles Higgins, Bieksa
Richardson resigned cheap if forwards r moved.
Prolly 2-3 new faces will make opening day roster.
2015-16 will be the year our prospects will get serious oppurtunities to impact their wares. The retool process will hit the next gear.
I'd like to see some real shockers go down between now n Draft Day.
JB likes shuffling the cards n i luv it.
Can't wait to see what a few days does n changes the landscape. |

My crystal ball says:
Sedin-Sedin-Burrows
Baertschi-Bonino-Hansen
Higgins-Horvat-Kassian
Kenins-Richardson-Dorsett
I can see Willie switching up Bonino & Horvat.
Vrbata - Tradebait (was useless in playoffs)
Burrows- retires a Canuck
Higgins - trade if offer is 3rd or better
Gaunce - AHL - Injury call-up
Grenier - AHL - Injury call-up
Virtanen - 9 games then back to juniors. - Crying_Wrestler
Realistically...I see this.
Sedin/Sedin/Burrows
Baert/Bonino/Vrby
Hansen/Horvat/Kass
Kennins/Richie/Dorsett
i see Higgins and Bieksa/Hammer being dealt (hopefully Bieksa). No real shakeups.
And agree with you infusions of Gaune/Grenier/Virt.
We really need a 2nd line Centre something fierce.

I'm thinking that Vrbata and Kassian get moved…
Sedin-Sedin-Burrows

Dorsett-Bonino-Higgins
Virtanen-Richardson-Kenins - Jim_Robson
Sedin-Sedin-Vrbata
Burrows-Horvat-Kassian
Baertschi-Bonino-Hansen
Dorsett-Vey-Higgins

(frank) it. He's too great of a person to be traded. Well atleast until he gets his Luongo contract. |

Aren't they always talking about intangibles?
If we get a high enough pick, I am not against trading Lack. I can see the logic of signing Miller as ufa and accumulating picks by trading Lack. But also see Lack as great value, fan fave and if we could move Miller, we'd free up some cap space.
Trade Markstrom for a 3rd or 4th rounder and put off the decision on Lack. |

so...in this reality Higgins, Hansen, Dorsett, Edler, Bieksa, Hamhuis are traded? That's quite the shakeup |

This is how i see it as well.
Trade Marky this offseason.
Play Miller 2/3 and Lack 1/3.
Resign Lack next year to split duties 50/50 and trade Miller at TDL next year.
At that stage, perhaps Demko is ready to be backup. Otherwise find a suitable vet backup.

I'd trade Lack if we can get a 2nd rounder from 31-39 for him. Any less and your right to keep him and track Marky for a 3rd. If lack can get 40-50 and Mark only a 4th, trade Lack again. |

Would mean:
Vrbata for a #15-20 overall pick
Bieksa for an early 2nd n 4th
Lack/Vey packaged for an early 2nd n mid 2nd (40-50)
or Lack for early 2nd n 3rd
Vey late 2nd...hopefully
Anyways twist or tweak at will |

Ex-HB alumni Yost articulating what i was suggesting the other day (although not for the nucks due to our lack of picks).
Turns out there is a name for it 'dual offer sheets'
I proposed targeting Ottawa's young crop of RFAs (Stone, Hoffman and Zibinajad).

Good chance Kenins sticks with the Canucks, but the one way contract just means that if he gets demoted he makes the same money. As it's under $900k it would all come off the cap though. It's financial security for him to prevent him from heading to Europe, but he still has to earn his spot. |
