Well he is stronger than any player in the nhl. Theres the toughness factor we've been missing - Retinalz
Too many holding/swinging penalties! Fans would probably throw bananas on the ice. |

It's funny listening to all the rumours because every year just about every team is seeing what it takes to move up. I like that van is trying to make moves but at some point after enough offers, jb has got to take one otherwise he will have another MG on our hands. |

I really don't see him as the type to sit on his hands a la Mike Gillis. |

No but if fair market value comes in and he is holding out for more. I don't like it. |

What has he ever done to suggest that he holds out for more? |

I'm not saying he's a bad goalie. He's an average starter. That's it. Far from great and I don't see his upside as being much better than an average. - KB3Point0
Fair enough.
I think he handled himself pretty good considering the defence core we have and the systems in place. I don't know why so many people are eager to trade lack.
I have no confidence in Markstrom. Nor should anyone else. Has proved nothing yet. |

It could be he is deciding between a high 2nd(31 or 33) or a low 2nd (51) and a 3rd. Figuring out which makes more sense? |

Markstrom should be the goalie traded forsure. If it gets us a later pick who cares, if hes worried about picks theres higgins, bieksa, vrbata, hamhuis, burrows who could all bring more back. |

He will be though, I think that would be a huge blunder to not move one of Marky or Lack before or at the draft. |

It's okay because we still have miller and most are trading to recoup a 2nd |

Totally agree. If the return on Lack is a no better than a 3rd (or a high 2nd) then why trade him? His value to this team is much higher as a player than trade bait. Miller's going to break down again and the backup will play significant amount of games.
Why not work with Lack and develop his talents? The canucks have done a great job developing some players. If the canucks can turn Burrows into a contributor then they should be able to turn lack into a superstar.

Then in 4-5 years we will have another goalie controversy in Lack and Demko. |

The press want Lack traded. You can't give him away. |
