The #Canucks have done the expected and qualified the contract of goalie Jacob Markstrom.

Wondering since it has been announced that Eriksson has signed with a KHL club, if the Canucks would make the minimum q/o to Eriksson just to retain his rights even though they had no intention of signing him.

If the Canucks offered up Tanev, they'd definitely get back a good prospect or a first. Any smart GM would trade away a first in the 20-30 range or prospect of equal value for Tanev.

Especially if you are shopping Lack, one of the questions, how much is it going to take to resign him?

I posted earlier, if there hasn't been any sort of preliminary conversation with Bieksa or anyone else with an ntc regarding possible trade destinations, there will be a similar conversation as was between Lu and MG, How about the Leafs? Benning has already said he hasn't talked to any players regarding NTC yet....obviously that can still change and it might be possible that Benning is lying but as much as I have reservations about Benning I highly doubt he isn't honest.

I think the rule is 7 years of nhl experience, 27 or a certain amount of RFA deals.
