Don't tell me who I can cheer for.
Going out and watching the Canucks fail AGAIN with the same roster is prehistoric thinking.
Those guys for four years now have failed with the same unemotional attitude and skill.
I want to give new guys a chance like Baertschi JV Grenier Pedan Sanguinetti Clendenning . I don't care if I lose more , at least I will see a team with a pulse - VANTEL
Watching the kids lose would be more entertaining than watching the Sedins pass the puck back and forth for 90 seconds of a power play, and that's not tanking. |

5 of the 6 last SC winners all have top 5 draft picks.
If you go back to 10 years add Ana and TB .
Teams on the upswing TB Fla Ana Minny Wpg
Teams of the future EDM Buff?
All the teams listed have had rebuilds |

Absolutely, they are great players, however personally I would like to see a different style of play, or look on both offence and defence. But hey, the hot topic is goaltending as usual with Vancouver! Whatever. |

I didn't say anything about the roster, I was talking about tanking which is the equivalent of losing deliberately. I don't want to see the same old, emotionless roster either. I do want to see gradual change as the team builds another contending team. |

The Sedins interview consists of two speeches . We payed hard enough to win or We didn't play hard enough to win.
Like I said it is up to the players to play their best.
It is up to management to say what players play.
A bad decision by management cost us moving up 8 spots for one meaningless win that top players should have been resting. |

No but tear downs and rebuilds only started in the cap era . Before teams could buy great teams |

I'm all for a rebuild. If it takes 5-6 years, I can live with it. Just work hard. |

I don't think they've ever had a "planned" tank. They just sucked from poor management and drafting thru the years. They had some opportunity to put a cast of great players together with their poor finishes. |

True but laying a template for the future isn't..
Like I said if Benning go full tem with The Sedins my prediction is he will be exiting the same year. The culture of this club needs to change this year. He has some hard ass decisions to make, see if he has the stones to do it |

I have never been a fan of the Sedin's. I acknowledge they are great players, done lot's for the city and team. Just not my kind of players, or leaders imo. |

I agree somewhat but delibaretely losing is bullsh!t. I want to see change but one has to be both realistic and patient. Rome wasn't built in a day. I hope by next year we see the Sedins transition to the 2nd line and perhaps start to notice the future captain emerging. |

No one wants the team to loose deliberately, just start over and work hard. The result at the end of the season won't be that tough to take if that happens. Small steps. |

The players on the ice play their hardest. The team sent on the ice is up to the mgmt.
Canucks mgmt should have been well aware of that draft swing by winning one meaningless game. It is not tanking it is strategy. It also rests your top players |

About a third of the posters on here are still whining about the team not going into tank mode. |

It's such a fluid thing, professional sports, it's constantly changing and you've gotta react to what's in front of you.
If you're hoping for a complete culture change in one year you're setting yourself up for disappointment. Over the next three years it'll be a changeout of about three players per year until you see a complete overhaul.

They were positioning for home ice advantage for the post season. Losing deliberately is bullsh!t. |
