The public in the United States was told the government borrowing from a private central bank was good, and 5 times they squashed it after only a few years because it put everyone in debt. Prior to Woodrow Wilsons "greatest regret" bringing in the federal reserve, the US had 10 times the rest of the worlds economy combined. That is what a free market will give you. And they had the top currency in the world of course. We had virtually the same system and brought in the borrowing from the fed the same time the states did. Since 1913, ours and the US's dollars have lost 99 precedent of their buying power, thats why a jug of milk was 5 cents then and is now 100 times expensive. The printing and debting of our countries (against our constitutions i might ad), is why China has flourished, because ouyr dumb politicians enabled global free trade, so america went from the biggest manufacturer to now all the big corps have moved to china cause its cheap. The only thing that is keeping the dollar afloat is that countries have to buy dollars to by commodities like OPil and metals etc... Whe countries can use another currency the dollar will collapse within weeks maybe days. Canad shad true free markets, China was a third rate poop whole and the corporations and banks are exploiting it nothing more. There is nothing cyclical about it, it is ending...

Read "confessions of an economic hit man", very clear as to how these guys ruin countries by offering to build up infrastructure to tap a resource, get the people so deep in debt they can't pay and then offer to pay the debt by buying up infrastructure, like waterways, electrical grids, even school systems. They are doing the same thing to the west, just drawn out over a long period of time...

Glow balls and glowing flags. Walking gets a little sketchy if you forget your flashlight.

Relax.

You can never tell with the khl. A league where Radulov is the league leader and Cheechoo puts up a PPG.

Just have to wait and see how they do when they get here. Certainly not much success from these types the past few years. We have Slepyshev coming over. Just wait and see if he can play here or not.

you can say... but one must always remember... if the Wings or the Hawks or the Sharks or Canucks signed someone from the KHL - they would be awesome. If the Leafs sign someone, the first question asked is what's wrong with the guy?

I would like to nominate Senstroll as the new GM and alternate Governor of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

This man understands priorities.

Sounds like a plan...

Tigers teeing off, this should be a good mess...

They really should implement a "star cam" feature in golf, constantly covers and follows a particular player, so we get to see them throw clubs, curse, scream, throw clubs into water hazards...

you know... the stuff the rest of us do when we golf.

Don't steal my idea guys... ok? promise?

There needs to be a channel for sports (I just want it for hockey) where ALL players are mic'd up and you can hear them while they are on camera.

Weird thing is, Canada switch in the 70s (1972?).
