If your going to trade the 16th overall pick, it better be for a legitimate top 2 defensemen. Lets improve our defence first, and reduce quality scoring chances against us, our mediocre goalies we have now WILL improve because of it! If not, then we can look for a goalie.

If im the oilers I draft nothing but Dmen in the draft. All there forwards are young, free agency can fill any gaps. Their blue line is dreadful luckily they should be able to pull 2 solid Dmen. Then gamble with their other picks on Dmen too unless a goalie happens to pop up that they like. They would be better off signing a UFA this year Niemi, they looking to sign top college goalies this off season. |
