ok, what do you think you should ask for? RNH would not be a number 1 center on almost every team right now. Hall has question marks about health and attitude. Eberle is a good player but hasnt put up numbers that exactly jump off the page. Yak has done nothing thus far.
if you all want to just stay the course, great!! good luck but seriously if you are going to trade someone for help now what are you expecting? you can rip my trade of Morrisey and Comrie but do i need to cut and paste every Oil fan who has proposed a Draisitle trade for a all star nhl'er right now? is that not the same thing?

He is also turning 31 and is injury plagued. Hes not a long term fixture on their Blue Line.
Trouba, Myers, Buff, and Morrisey would be.

I still think Morrisey can be had if the price is right; Chia just has to be a little aggresive.
Winnipeg would use that 16th, again depending on who is available to address their needs, and remember that this draft year is compared to the one in 2003!
Trouba and Myers are Top 2 defenders for sure; look at Chicago. It's Seabrook and Kieth that carry the weight of the defence. Then they have the supporting cast, same thing can go in Winnipeg.
If you have TWO Top 2 defenders that are going to be damn good, it is really easy to build a defence around that.
Look at Edmonton, they don't have that Top 2 defender and their defence is horrible because they didn't have anything to build around! Just one Top 2 defender goes a long way, but Two top 2 defenders? DAMN! |

Winnipeg also has 2 first round picks in this draft, I dont see them moving their best D prospect just to draft and wait for another one to develop.
They can get a good Dman and Forward prospects with their own picks. They could ship out one of those picks to get a forward, don't think hey move prospects |
