If Vinny is put in a position to play with offensive talents in offensive situations, he might be OK. I think he could go either way. No Coach should cater to a player but some Coaches have to make the best of what they have to work with.

At this point with a new coach, I wipe the slate clean. Vinny can play I think. Let's figure something out.

I think Vinny's in the driver seat. The Big talk of "Fine! You won't play" doesn't mean anything. He still gets paid.

If people here truly believe we're unlikely to win for the next 3 to 5 years, what does it matter if Vinny plays or not? I'm not defending the player but it doesn't matter if this is really true.

Similar to how Timonen wanted to go out on his skates, I'm sure that Lecavalier does also. Does anyone believe that Lecavalier will be content, not playing, and just collecting his money? If I was Hextall and his agent said that to me, I'd laugh. Everyone knows dam right well that Lecavalier will be miserable not playing. A season where he hardly plays, will effectively end his playing career. If there is little market for his services now, imagine what will happen after a season of inactivity.

Again, it sounds like Vinny is in the driver seat. Based on the article I posted, he's not agreeing to a termination. I don't think I'd walk away from that money, knowing whomever signs me (If I get signed at all) won't be as much money as he's walking away from.

Nobody is in the drivers seat. Right now it's a stalemate, and a situation that isn't good for either party.

Pretty much paid to be handsome. At least he's more talented than Ryan Seacrest.

Ryan Seacrest's talent is prodigious business savvy.
