I like how Buffalo can have Grigorenko, Eichel and Kane but we can't have Kessel, Nylander and this year's first.

Leafs aren't retaining salary on Phaneuf.
Teams are willing to pay players like MacDonald 5.5. That's a normal price now for 2nd/3rd pairing guys.
1.5M more for a top pairing defender isn't an issue.

Love this team, very entertaining but i just don't think it's sustainable over 162 games, even in a weakish AL east.
Heard somewhere that we're 6 for 16 in save opportunities...pretty sure there are some AAA teams that could do better |
