From what I read, a bunch of the Leafs prospects have developed well over the last couple of years. They're just not really blue chip, star guys. But, ideally, if this means the Leafs have some solid guys come out of their system for the bottom parts of their roster, that would take care of that while hopefully they can add the blue chip prospects this draft and in the next few years.

What I really hope is that Shanny/Hunter/Babcock are difference makers themselves in their decisions and what they see in players. That could help a lot.

And they have the Oilers and Sabres gong shows to look at as well. That's a huge advantage. What did each team do well, what did they do poorly. Nothing better than learning from some other dummies mistakes.

Yeah, I don't count those guys in the 'character player' category, the Leafs do have at least one or two of what would be considered blue chip prospects. I mean the rest of the guys, there might be a few that could be depth guys in the NHL. Which even that would be an improvement for the Leafs, any success in getting their NHL roster from their drafting would be an improvement.
