If that's the case, then I stay at 7. I'm not giving up a player and a pick just to land a guy at 4 or 3 who may not end up being as good as the guy at 7.

And you're not the only one who feels that way. The more I ask, the more it seems like it's McDavid and Eichel, then a cluster bomb between picks 3-12. Like there's no real overall concensus on how it is going to pan out.

There is a good amount of talent that to me if you aren't getting one of those 2 you sit tight.

Zacha and laughton could make a good 1-2 punch in the future. I always liked laughton.

opinion on taylor leier?

On Leier, the jury is still very much out but I think most Philly fans are optimistic that he could be a third liner at some point in the next 2-3 yrs. Could see spot duty on 4th line next year and/or be a call up in case of injury for bottom 6 (unlikely). Probably won't sniff NHL for 2 more years realistically. That said, ask us next season and the answer might be 100% different.
