So what Flyer is it going to take to move into 3 or 4? - MatveiDmitrii
#7, #29/30 & one of Morin/Sanheim/Laughton maybe even a mid round pick. |

Idk your not getting the consensus pick like mcdavid or eichel. You can pick hafinen at 3 or trade down to 7 and get provorov or werenzski. plus your getting laughton. |

I could be wrong but I don't see it as a cheap move into the top 5 even if the team is coming from just outside of it. |

Ya but if you look at mock drafts there's 1-2 then after that you have anyone from hafinen, provorov, werenzski, ranatanen, marner, barzel, crouse, strome and zacha. one or two have not shown who's better then the rest. so dropping from 3 to 7 is you pick a D
are they going to be mad if they can't pick hafinen at 3 if you can still pick either provorov or werenzski at 7.
if they go with strome at 3, will it be oh so bad to get barzel or zacha at 7 and get a more developed prospect in laughton. who's worth is still probably worth somewhere between 18-26 in the draft.
Just my opinion though.
heck they may ask for someone like matt read and you can get rid of a contract! |

Hextall has said he's not going to move prospects & draft picks (IIRC). To me I'm just fine sitting at #7 and taking the BPA. Zacha has more offensive upside that Laughton may ever have in his game.
Provorov & Werenski might just be the 2 best D in this draft long term.

Not sure about this Pens got compensation even though Bylsma was fired over a year ago.

#7 is fine with me. I am more curious to see if there is any trades to be made on draft day... Schenn / Grossmann .. And maybe a suprise player!

Rearranging deck chairs on the titanic.
I just want new blood in the organization with a fresh approach to all these players. A new set of eyes on all these players in camp that might be able to extract more out of these guys. It's the perfect opportunity to bringing sweeping change in. Low expectations for next year I don't think keeping a guy like murray around is important. Let the new staff figure it out
- Just5
Terry Murray wasn't involved with the Flyers last year, and can offer a fresh approach to these players. |

I am not 100% sure but i think it is because he is still considered under contract with the pens. That's my best guess at least. |

I think somebody posted here the other day that the Arizona GM was asked what it'd take to get #3 and he said somebody's first born.
If true that tells me it might be up for trade but he won't be giving it away |

Zacha and laughton could make a good 1-2 punch in the future. I always liked laughton.

Good thing about both of them is they can play wing and center. So it give a team good flexibility in how they'd use either of them.
If Zacha is he pick.

Maybe flip flop streit and mdz then? and keep schenn on the 2nd. You still have jake, g, and Simmonds on the 1st, along w/ raffl & mdz. That really doesn't look all that bad.
Second unit is coots, read, schenn, streit, white/cousins/ umberger(if he miraculously has some kind of improvement from being healthy, which I am not totally discounting). That second unit doesn't look that bad either w/ streit, schenn, and coots. - benjichronic
No way would I remove Streit off of the top PP unit for Del Zotto.

Moving Striet off of the top PP unit would be a huge mistake in my opinion.

The Blues don't have a 1st. I wonder what it would take to get Oshie.
Our 29/30th plus a Grossmann?? |

Good piece. With Berube gone, is there zero chance Reese comes back? - FastFord
You're assuming that Reese left because of Berube. Don't know that to be the case.

I think unless NJ gets rid of some of their D for more scoring that they may go with Zacha. He seems like the type of player they like in NJ. |

They could also go Barzal, Crouse, & Rantanen. If Zacha isn't there go with Provorov, Werenski, Barzal, or Crouse. |
