Hes about as effective as my grandma in the playoffs, and shes only got one leg. - Guile
I'd put a prosthetic hockey stick on her other leg and put her in front of the net on the PP |

Nash isn't going anywhere. 14pts. in 19 gms isn't elite but that combined with being one of the top 3 two way players on the team and a 40+ regular season goal scorer is pretty good. His cap hit is more and more managable every year the HRR share goes up. In 2 more years, it won't even be talked about as the best players in the league will all be making 9+Mil. Rangers aren't gonna replace his regular season scoring with anyone via trade. We just gotta hope to stay healthy next year and that the kids continue to develop. |

I wouldn't make the trade Nash (31 next week) for Nyquist(will be 26 when the season starts) and two prospects. Detroit needs to keep their younger players since Datsyuk will be 37, Zetterberg 35, Franzen 35, Kronwall 34, and Weiss 32 when the season starts. Detroit has one of the best systems for developing players. If I was Detroit I'd offer Zetterberg for Nash |

I feel like the Oilers would want either Weber , Josi or Jones and I don't think Nashville is trading any of those three.....especially for Eberle. And Oilers aren't in much need of prospects right now. Proposal doesn't make much sense to me. Oilers aren't trading their top scorer for Ryan Ellis and a prospect... - kahammer
fast forward 2 years and if Edmonton looks like they are playing to their expected level than Weber might be a realistic target. But like you said they are not in the market for prospects. And I dont think Nashville is looking to move Jones at this point either

You can't be for serious. Zetterberg's contract is terrible. Detroit also won't be trading away their captain. Nash has much higher trade value than Zetterberg. |

Ugh, got no problem w/ moving Gaborik. He had a nice 2 mo. stretch..during stanley cup run , then injury after injury after injury. Also got a nice return for him!!
Cally....hm...not worth what he got paid...Everyone agrees on that...1 goal in playoffs.
Boyle......he wanted bigger role, didn't work out for him in Tampa either. He has same role there, and his wife wanted to live in Fla.
Stralman...I AGREE!!!
Easy w/ the idiots banter. Its funny, when Isles do well, I have no problem with saying it. You....NYR are idiots. Such a witty comment. I wish we could do this more. Jackass! - rrentz
nice try.
cally wasnt signed to score goals, they have two 1st lines that can do that. he's much more effective than st.louis, there is a reason why tampa is in the finals and new york isnt. oh and lets not forget the top picks the bolts got in addition to callahan for the near retired st.louis.
and boyle took a discount as is a great value signing for their bottom 6. again, tampa is in the finals with him, while rangers are golfing without him.
so once again, nice try. rangers FA signings have been horrible, please do not try to compare them to the architect Yzerman who is a GM of the year candidate. |

i'm sorry, did you forget about the scott gomez signing? rangers are the WORST when it comes to FA signings. clarkson was terrible, no excuse for that. but as mentioned above, no one can even remember the last good FA signing the rangers had.
stop trying to deflect attention on other teams when the topic in hand is how bad the rangers are at signing FA.
nice try though. taking the easy way out to try and troll on the leafs didnt work this time AHAHAHAH - sensnucksnocups
Well, at least they adjusted in the Cap era.
While Leafs signed Clarkson, and they still suck BTW. |

Oh now I see..Tampa signed Cally at 6.5 mill per year to do what exactly???? Lead by example??? give me a break..
Boyle signed b4 NYR even made an offer, and he left b/c he wanted a bigger role, which by the way didn't happen, and his wife is from Florida.
Stralman is the only guy I wish we still had.
MSL was a reason NYR got to Finals last year. He did hit a wall this yr and will be gone b/c of it. And yes you are right...NYR has won more playoff series in the past 4 years than anyother team in NHL b/c of there horrible management.
In 3-4 yrs from now if NYR hasn't won a cup and is missing the playoffs than those 4 traded 1st round picks will definately take critisism, but untill then...lets see how it goes before you start making an azz of yourself! |
