the 28th overall pick this year and last year. we made the finals and we signed Kevin Hayes for nothing last summer. I am good.

Hayes definitely makes it feel better.

I think an offer like Nyquist and a couple of prospects is reasonable, I'd just rather it be for somebody who has a contract already. Nyquist is a RFA probably looking for 4-5 million a year himself

Sorry I don't see Nyquist or Tatar leaving DET bc they are part of the future after Datsyuk & Zett.
So if u think Ek posting some unrealistic possibility, I have a bridge to sell u in Brooklyn....

Nyquist is part of DET's future, I don't realistically think they'll part w/a kid who has gotten better every year for Nash who is on the other side of 30 with a larger cap hit.....

Tatar isnt going anywhere, but of the two Nyquist is the one that isn't entirely untouchable. I dobut Franzen comes back(thank the lord) so I could see why we'd have interest in Nash for a big body presence with a scoring touch.

Your logic is stupid because this is the exact reason we are going to trade Strome and Reinhart to TOR for Kessel.

I think it worked out for everyone. Nash has been excellent when healthy for the Rags, even in the playoffs where his defensive play has been above the expectations. His playoff shooting percentage could be higher but his presence opens room for others. If the Rangers have to flip him for cap space, I am sure they would be happy with the deal they made and with whatever assets they can get in return for him

Trade could make sense for NYR and DET but the big question is what prospects are we talking about. Mantha? Pulkkinen? AA? Marchenko? Ouellet? Sproul? Jensen?
