I don't care what you say, every one except you knows that Arizona is actively trying to reduce salary. Try to keep up with current events. Also...why is Nash worth more than Kessel? Maybe slightly the difference is significantly less than Nazim Kadri, and getting Nash doesn't fit with the teams rebuild plans at all.they want picks and prospects as well.

Sorry Bubba, insult me for being an Oulers fan all you want, but your trade proposals are the exact opposite of the teams current rebuild strategy....how did all this get by you?

So Arizona is trying to reduce salary to $7? You do realize there is a salary cap floor...right?

Problem is Kessel isn't going to get a bunch of picks and prospects, if someone trades for him they have to send salary back...unless a team with cap space like Arizona...oops they are reducing salary to $4.12.

Sooooooo there's this thing called business logic, having a team say we are cutting costs means not adding additional cost on top of the current budget and trying to reduce as much as possible. In a salary cap era it is physically impossible to have a roster of 4 players and a bunch of picks/prospects.

Toronto reduces salary, keep in my mind teams are not going to say here is our future for this 8M pig, receives new blood and a proven 40+ goal scorer with a reduced price. Toronto wins thats...they have to add something to entice a team to take the short end.

Arizona still needs to get to cap floor, but at the same time no average intelligent organization is going to fill their team with cheap young kids. That's a disaster waiting to happen. Look at this one of the few teams that can take a bloated contract because they don't have many players signed.

So where is the exact opposite?

Retain your picks, draft and develops and supplement with lower end free agents. If Arizona does something different than that this summer I will personally apologize to you. Sound fair?

Mantha, and late 1st/early 2nd would probably be fair, but Rangers fans are not going to want to hear it.
