Dude is a beast. Plays a great two way game, fights, goes in the 1st rd of fantasy drafts and led the NHL in scoring this year. Why wouldn't he be elite?

if im forced into making a choice, I got rory and jordan as 1 and 2. and Jordan the one guy that can possibly really give the yanks a fighting chance in the next few ryder cups.
and as far as personal rankings, a few guys like rose and scott not far behind. but until Jordan dominates multiple majors over a short span like rory has, rory is the clear world number 1 imo.

and regardless of age (rose had a top 5 finish at the open championship at 18!) spieth has only one major to roses lone major.

end of the day, I maintain that rose is certainly among the very top few in the game without a doubt. and the narrative that rose cant hang with the younger guys through 4 rounds is almost ludicrous. a brilliant shot maker and at present one of the top favourites in every major he enters. and as I said, one of the elite when the top guys are all at the top of their games. (which is what make sgf tougher to gauge as this happens so rarely)
his unconscious stretch duing the singles at the ryder cup was up there with the best golf ive seen in years (rorys 2011 us open , kaymers 2014 us open and spieths 2015 masters as well)

and the reason I have continually glossed over the majors is that they are FAR AND AWAY the ones that matter most. a hot stretch through 4 or 5 lesser tourneys with a few wins is nothing compared to just one major title.

I think homie was referring to Woods not being able to hang with the young kids for 4 rounds. I agree with you, it's McIlroy and Spieth at 1 and 2. I like Justin Rose a lot, a big fan of his but at 34 he has only 7 wins and 1 major and Spieth at 21 has 3 wins and 1 major. To be fair, Spieth's career is getting started. A great rivalry is ensuing between Rory and Spieth.

as far as the 7 wins, I think he has a bunch on the euro tour too where he spent some time earlier in his career before making the move across the pond.

but yeah, I hope spieth can maintain this play. rory is just so so so good and I really hope a real rivalry can blossom.
