Run out of the rink? Intimidated? This team?

- Ogilthorpe2

Really? An honest question answered with that? Weak.

And in your vernacular.

No.

Hmmm.??? Pretty regular tactic during the regular season. How many times did we want a push back so the big boys with skill could take over?
- TexasFlood

And we care about red ass in the regular season why exactly?

I'm petty sure Patrick Sharp gets more respect around the league from G.M.'s than he does on this board where he is just an expensive contract to dump for cheap. Not many teams have a player with his name twice on the Stanley Cup.

Don't you think the Habs would rather have Sharp skating on right wing for a couple of seasons instead of Dale F'n Weise? The Rangers have employed Marty St. Louis well past his best before date. How about the Winnipeg Jets, Florida, Ottawa, Calgary, Colorado, Detroit looking to get to the next level and needing a very competitive veteran to help their kids along?

I wouldn't even be that surprised if Stanbo held on to #10 thru next season. He has more value than the national association of scrap dealers think.

I agree with you and I would luv to see #10 retire as a hawk. But counting heads, contracts, production and age...he is a prime candidate to go given the cap situation the hawks face. The other factor is they have a deeper well at forward than defense.

His production has slipped since his huge push for the olympic team the 1st half of last year. Since then in 105 reg season gmes: 25 goals and 50 assists. He was just short of a pt/gm now he is at .70 pt per game. And in those 105 gmes he only has 1 mutli-goal game. His production this playoff is about the same as last year. Lets be honest everyone talks about how streaky Sharp is..well the fact is he has not had a hot streak in over 140 gmes (incl playoffs) and has a number of scoring droughts. No goals in 9 gmes currently; yet he did have a nice series vs the wild.

The hawks just can't afford him with those $$ and production. A big contract has to go: either sharp or CC or both. Maybe its to obvious and it won't happen but I don't know where else Stanbow gets the savings to keep Saad and Kruger and get 22-23 players next year.

Wait...there was that one game in the REGULAR season that REALLY mattered because winning fights and doubling the opponent in hit count is way more important than wins!!!

Wimp! If the Hawks win the cup this year it will be a hollow victory and will forever be marked with an asterisk because what's a championship if it was won without some redass?

Mm Kay. But push back has a lot do do with the score board. Don't you think? Unincumbered players not worrying about being gooned without an answer.

I know. I'm allegedly an idiot. Time for your posse to pile on now.

And don't forget how Leddy was mercilessly droned on and crucified on these boards last year Tred. But I'm sorry, or boy Rundblad needs more time and be judged more objectively? Please. A total train wreck.

And how many pucker up and hyperventilate when he's on the ice?

Between him and KT... my section needs a cardiologist on standby. We had a guy screaming behind us for Rosi to get hurt in the 1st round. After Rosi went down the next round the guy was back whining about KT. Owner of the seats next to us - his wife is a saucy one - she yelled at the guy "Are you happy now dumbass?"..... Dude turned purple. Laughed our asses off all game. Last home game against ANA was the 1st playoff game someone else was in those seats.

Let's face it. By contrast, a lot of us all of a sudden are thinking Cuminskey rocks. That alone should tell us how bad 5-6-7 look right now.

Really hoping TVR was simply tentative after the knee and he holds his own if he plays.

The Hawks are three wins away from a cup and you're female doging about injury replacements who basically aren't getting much ice time and they aren't playing too bad when they are on the ice. Try to see the positives.

Not really. Playing smart and continuing to play your game while making the other team pay for running around like a bunch of yahoos is they way to go.

Take the hit to make a play, score on your PP's, and frustrate them further by not taking the bait and not retaliating. That's how you push back.

Did you see Eddie O's analysis during game 7 of the Ducks player passing up a chance to play the puck in favor of taking a run at a Hawks player? How'd that work out for him?
