Bernier is only 24 or 25 years old and has a lot of upside...It would cost at least 1st round and 2nd second next year! He was also draft it in first around and Leafs gave a lot for him.

it isn't like he has an injury history, guy is a machine so i don't know, it's a risk for both teams but also exactly what both teams could be looking for and

boston acquired the future finnish carey price for a bag of hammers named raycroft.....so i imagine the future american carey price would probably cost less than a generational center.

Well the Leafs only gave up a backup goalie, an AHL winger and a 2nd(2015) for the next Brodeur. I imagine the Oilers could offer a similar package, the same backup goalie, a fringe NHLer and a higher 2nd then the Leafs offered up.

I wouldn't offer it either. He's one of the best goalie prospects ( if he is still a prospect) out there and would love to have him....but we have other organizational needs.
